The Toronto Community Foundation has awarded CTYS a $30,000 grant for the production of next year’s Pride & Prejudice Gender Play. This level of support will greatly boost the profile and overall quality of this theatrical production and in addition allow for the creation of a documentary video of the Gender Play process from start to finish. This is such a deserving project.

PenEquity supports CTYS - April 2008

"A dream come true!" Toronto councillor Kyle Rae declared at the opening of the AMC Theatre at Toronto Life Square, a PenEquity development project.

Rae said the Yonge & Dundas area had fallen "into decay and ruin" and attracted crime. The redevelopment into what is now Toronto Life Square was intended to revitalize the area and make it safer, he said. "We did not want to allow Toronto to fall into a cesspool like other North American cities."

To reinforce the importance of making Yonge & Dundas safer, especially for youth, PenEquity presented $10,000 to the Central Toronto Youth Services for our work with Toronto's at-risk youth.
