Creating Access is designed as a practical tool to help individuals and organizations increase access to supports and resources for HIV+ youth. Lead author: Dino Paoletti

Pride & Prejudice: Working with lesbian, gay and bisexual youth (1997) A book for service providers working with youth. The book chapters cover multiple strategies for working with LGB youth, as well as systemic and institutional responses to LGB youth. Editor: Margaret Schneider

Opening Doors: Making substance abuse and other services more accessible to lesbian, gay and bisexual youth (1994) Opening Doors presents a compelling overview of the risks, issues and service needs unique to LGB youth. Using data drawn from a large-scale study of the experience of these youth in addiction services, Opening Doors offers health and social service and health agencies a blueprint for providing accessible and equitable services to LGB youth. No Safe Bed: Lesbian, gay and bisexual youth in residential services (1993) Drawing on the voices and experiences of LGB youth, No Safe Bed provided the first detailed picture of situation for LGB youth in residential services. Interviews with youth, frontline workers, and residential managers inform this guide and its subsequent recommendations to agencies, policy-makers, and funding bodies in addressing barriers and in making residential services fully accessible to LGB youth. Lead authors: Carol-Anne O’Brien, Robb Travers and Laurie Bell.
